IT Project Manager

An excellent opportunity for an experience IT Project Manager to join a dedicated PM function within an established IT department. You'll take the lead on strategic IT programmes - planning, executing, and ensuring smooth delivery across the full project lifecycle. You'll work with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver results that align with company goals and drive real business value.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage end-to-end delivery
- Oversee resource planning, procurement, and supplier relationships
- Manage budgets, track costs, and maintain governance and audit trails
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and timelines
- Ensure high-quality project outcomes aligned with user needs
- Support the transition of new services into operations
- Coach and mentor junior project staff
Requirements
- Proven success managing complex IT projects
- Strong experience in stakeholder management, resource planning, and risk control
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Confidence working with internal and external suppliers, including offshore teams
- Familiarity with procurement processes and benefits management
- Experience with service transitions and business case creation
- Proficiency in project management tools
Desirable:
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Professional qualification (e.g., PPM, PRINCE2, APM)
