Infrastructure Engineer

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for designing and maintaining secure and efficient infrastructure solutions? We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join an established, dynamic IT department, in which you will play a key part in ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of ICT infrastructure across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of core ICT infrastructure, including cloud platforms, servers, networking, and security systems.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, SIEM platforms, and network access control in collaboration with the Information Security team.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal disruption during incidents. Ensure effective system backup and replication strategies are in place.
- Work alongside key stakeholders to plan infrastructure improvements, ensuring scalability and minimal business disruption.
- Regularly assess and enhance infrastructure efficiency through proactive maintenance and system updates.
- Support IT policy documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and governance frameworks.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, Federation Services, Exchange, and Microsoft Server environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Entra ID and Azure.
- Proficiency in virtualization platforms (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware).
- Knowledge of networking, including routers, firewalls, TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with backup and replication solutions such as Veeam.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including multi-factor authentication systems and SIEM platforms.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- A full UK driving license.
