Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team in Brentwood. In this role you will lead and manage a team of engineers, whilst overseeing parts ordering and working closely with various departments within the business to ensure excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of engineers to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
- Optimize the team's performance and resource utilization to maintain operational efficiency.
- Manage parts ordering, returns, and inventory to ensure engineers have the necessary tools and materials.
- Ensure timely completion of job sheets, maintaining accurate records of work completed and issues encountered.
- Work closely with Contract Managers to enhance customer satisfaction, resolve service issues, and implement improvements.
- Track and monitor engineers' ETA compliance to ensure punctual service delivery.
- Develop and implement processes to improve the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Proven managerial experience, ideally in an engineering or technical environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of parts ordering, inventory management, and technical support operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in engineering.
- Experience in contract management and customer service is advantageous
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8 hour days
