Senior Business Analyst
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to be responsible for the development and ongoing definition of viable business requirements, (user stories/acceptance criteria) and non-functional requirements. The Business Analysts play a key role either within the Agile feature teams or key strategic projects to ensure the expected business outcomes are delivered.
My clients Business Analyst’s will ensure business goals are understood and requirements/user stories/acceptance criteria are documented in conjunction with Product Owners/Sponsors, to enable solutions to be defined by the Project / feature team. The Analyst will work collaboratively with design/development/ test colleagues in order to ensure that solutions address the requirements of the business. You will also Champion and make wider contributions to the Business Analysis Practice through your knowledge and experience.
The Successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of working collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders creating User Story/Requirements Definition/Acceptance Criteria using Agile tools and techniques, as well as Business Analysis tools and techniques.
You will have experience working with projects and an understanding of Agile. You will have an understanding of the insurance industry and ideally London Market insurance. You will also possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Lead the business analysis on small Programmes / Complex projects to develop an optimised solution to meet business need that is appropriate, deliverable and affordable ensuring the avoidance of incompatible architectures and maximising the leverage of existing architectures.
Ensure solution integrity/alignment with customer needs; benefit assumptions; and target architecture throughout Project / Programme life-cycle
Ensure that risks/issues are managed and/or escalated with solutions/options for resolution including where these compromise benefit delivery
Be fully accountable for actions and decisions taken by Business Analysts within the project structure and the quality of their work as appropriate
Proven ability to deliver business solutions for programmes/project/s balancing time, cost and quality
High level knowledge of the end to end project lifecycle working within both Agile frameworks & waterfall methodologies
Appropriate use of tools & techniques that support the delivery of working software in incremental steps
Be responsible for ensuring the development and professionalism of themselves and the community as appropriate, including active participation in the BA Practice
Management and development of people within an environment of change
Skills & Experience required
Experience working as a Business Analyst in the Insurance sector (ideally London Market insurance)
