TEC Partners are working with an established local technical engineering firm, who are on the lookout for experienced Software Engineers. You’ll have the chance to join a business based in the centre of Essex, who can boast a fantastic culture, in a challenging and rewarding permanent role. This period of growth stems from a busy pipeline of work scheduled for the remainder of 2018 and beyond, so they are looking to bring on added resource to assist and strengthen the software function, which is responsible for building sophisticated control systems using Embedded C++.

The role will be an integral part of the team, contributing towards the existing work load, but also be on hand to shoulder work from all new projects alongside the established in-house software team. Tasks will be passed on from the Lead Architect, and candidates are given the freedom to manage their own workload, so long as work is completed on-time and to the high standard that the team pride themselves on.

The primary duties of this role will require someone with strong C++ skills across Embedded Windows, so experience of this would be essential. The software team have plans to cross-compile to Linux in the future, so we are looking for someone who has this knowedlge, or the ability/interest to pick it up.

We are also looking for candidates to demonstrate experience in some of, if not all, of the following:

– TCP/UDP Networking

– QT Framework

– Multi-threaded development

– Serial Interfaces (422 CanBus, RS232)

For a full brief on the role, and the business that we’re working with, please do get in touch with Will at TEC Partners and we can happily talk through the details.
