About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer - Electrical Bias to join a leading organisation responsible for the sales, service, and support of advanced propulsion and power systems. This role will support customers across sectors such as naval, superyachts, commercial marine, and land-based systems.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as the installation, commissioning, and testing of new products. This is a high-profile role where you will act as an ambassador, demonstrating technical expertise and ensuring the highest standards of customer support.

What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation applicable to the role.
- Perform commissioning, service, and repair of propulsion and power systems, ensuring products are operational.
- Share knowledge and support the on-the-job development of others.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to processes and procedures.
- Provide emergency on-call coverage as part of the service engineers' rota.
- Compile high-quality technical reports upon job completion, detailing work undertaken and root causes of issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and methods to identify faults and communicate findings to customers.
- Make informed technical decisions in situations requiring evaluation beyond established procedures.
- Support other service and sales activities as required.
- Maintain stock control of parts and equipment in your care.
- Perform workshop duties when needed.
- Travel regularly within the UK and ROI, with occasional overseas deployments for training or client support.
Please note: This role can be physically demanding.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in MS Office and PC-based engine diagnostics/programming. (On-the-job training provided for business IT systems.)
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering or significant industry experience.
- Sound understanding of health and safety best practices.
- Technical expertise and experience in propulsion and power products, particularly in marine environments.
- A disciplined and professional approach, capable of upholding high standards.
