TEC Partners are representing a premium Norfolk-based manufacturing company looking for an AI/ML Team Lead. They have a rich heritage in designing, developing and creating one of the world's leading performance products and are now looking to scale their software department with a new AI/ML Team Lead.

About this AI and ML Team Lead role

As an AI and ML Team Lead, you will be key in scaling our client's AI and ML department, creating new strategy to optimise the efficiency of the AI pipelines and building automated AI and ML processes using existing frameworks or making them from scratch. You will need to work cross-functionally with other departments to drive industry leading manufacturing AI processes and lead development.

What is expected of you as an AI and ML Team lead with our client?

  • In-depth expert knowledge of AI and ML technology (deep learning, LLMs and NLPs
  • Advanced proficiency with Python and strong experience using frameworks such as PyTorch, Flask and TensorFlow
  • Ideally experience within a senior AI/ML position within the engineering sector
  • Proven experience of scaling AI/ML teams, hitting and exceeding project targets and timelines

Responsibilities of an AI and ML Team Lead with our client

  • Collaborate within the wider software development team on projects
  • Improve existing AI pipelines or design and implement new ones as required
  • To act as a senior member of the software development team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with government and company data protection protocols
  • Communicate effectively with other department, collaborating where necessary
  • Deploy LLMs and NLP techniques
  • Stay up to date in the latest research within the AI and ML space
